Hello, I’m Abby!
One of my fondest childhood memories is that of my brother putting a camera in my hands and showing me how to take a picture. Being behind the lens continues to feel as natural and joyful till this day.
My photography is always personal no matter what I shoot, as it always allows me the opportunity to express how I see the world around me in all its folds and layers. Creating an image is like telling a story, but only better, because confining a sentiment with words can sometimes take away from its intricacy, but an image always conveys the full sentiment!
While I absolutely enjoy photographing a variety of projects and welcome the different challenges each brings, portraiture does hold a special place in my heart (humans and pets, of all ages). It’s always a beautiful collaboration guiding my model(s) through the process of opening up to the camera.
